PLAYER PROFILES 2007/2008

 

John Okole, Aged 25

Agile, commanding keeper, has produced some excellent displays so far this season. Last seasons Manager's player of the year.

Matt Keenan, Aged 23

Formerly with Banbury United and Hook Norton. Right sided player who is comfortable at right back, midfield or up front.

Dave Nichols, Aged 23

An Easington stalwart for a number of years, a member of the successful Under 18's side that won the County Cup. Previous spells with Banbury United and Hook Norton.

Ricky Johnson, Aged 19

Signed from Banbury United, tall, strong target man. Skilful on the ground and excellent in the air. Last seasons top scorer with 27 goals.

Adam Daley, Aged 23

'Daisy' Strong, quick, talented footballer. Last seasons second top scorer with 22 goals.

Liam Garrett, Aged 23

Previously with Banbury United and Hook Norton. A feisty player who can play in midfield or up front.

Henry Rose, Aged 18. 

An exciting youngster who joined us from Banbury United with whom he still plays at under 18 level. Plays wide on the right and gives the side width and pace, always likely to pop up with a goal

Ben Naylor, Aged 20. 

Stepped up from the local junior leagues. A skilful and committed player who could be a surprise package.

Sam Hubbard, Aged 22  

Second spell at the club, a lively quick player who will be looking to establish himself at this level.

Gareth Source, Aged 25

Transferred from Hook Norton this season, previously a club stalwart who is a welcome sight back with us. An experienced hard working midfielder who will give added strength to the squad.

Danny Cockle, Aged 26 

Experienced campaigner who has slotted into the back line, cool and collected. Previous spells with Woodford United and Brackley Town, given the side more stability.

James Hastie, Aged 21

Son of former Banbury United stalwart Wally Hastie, strong and committed centre half, who with the right attitude has a lot to offer to the team.

Joe Coleman, Aged 16. 

One of the stars from last seasons successful U’16s squad, winners of the County Cup. A real prospect. 

Mike Spaull, Aged 19

Joined from Banbury United Under 18's, lots of potential if he works at his game.

Ali Robinson, Aged 21

Committed and hard working central midfielder who joined this season from neighbours Banbury United. Previously at Coventry City Academy as a youngster and has the ability to be a driving force for the club. 

Ronnie Johnson - Manager

Started career with Easington Sports first team at 17 before moving on to semi pro football with Banbury United, Brackley Town and Buckingham Town. Previous Oxfordshire Adult County Sprint Champion at 100 Metres and 200 Metres

Terry Callow - Assistant Manager

Football fanatic who has brought a wealth of knowledge and commitment to the club. Previous clubs Banbury United and Brackley Town.

Paul Dewar - Sports Therapist

Previous spells with the club, will give the players an important added facility.
